Corporate Profile
Please take a moment of your time to
meet DESA COMMUNICATIONS, Inc. Originally we were a branch of ITT Business Communications Corp. and had a consistent presence
in the area since 1958. We have been DESA since Nov. 1984, selling and servicing intercom and telephone systems in the Lehigh
Valley Area.
In Oct. of 1984, when the decision was made by ITT to close down the direct sales operation, we became
their authorized distributors. ITT made their full product line available to us. At the same time, an offer was made to us
, to purchase the ITT customer base in this area, with the express purpose of servicing these accounts and performing additions,
relocations and upgrades.
In July of 1992, a decision was made by one of the founding partners, Donald L. Beck; to
purchase 100% of the corp stock, and change the direction of DESA Communications. The service department was strengthened
and the direct sales department was eliminated, there by, allowing DESA to provide better service to its customer base and
giving it the ability to sell the same product at a much lower price.
DESA was named an Ultracom dealer for TIE Communications
in 1990. After NITSUKO purchased TIE in 1992, we continued to be an Ultracom dealer, thereby giving us access to NITSUKO's
worldwide inventory of telecommunications products. These systems have been thoroughly tested and researched for reliability
and quality. NITSUKO's NVM series of auto attendant/voice mail systems are an industry leader.
In April of 2001 NITSUKO
& NEC Communications Corp, merged to form NEC AMERICA one of the world's largest telecommunications companies, thereby giving
DESA an even larger inventory of products to offer its customers.
